It's not mangrove forests (for the most part you only get them in coastal areas), but rather some kind of cloud forest. Maybe something like laurel forest? It's not rainforest-tier wet, but because of the elevation change, the drop in temperature results in a lot of rain and fog. Personally I quite like how it looks, but it depends on whether it's what /ahoy/rep wants.
