That's a big one for me too. Either I have no time for a long single-player session, or schedules are wonky for multiplayer games, and I want to play them while no one else has time.

It's funny, I spent my entire youth pirating games, so now that I'm older I finally have the money to just not have to deal with a bunch of the hoops and bullshit that comes with piracy, and just get the much nicer experience of buying. But from a principal standpoint, I generally don't buy singleplayer games until I've finished them at least once. If I want to come back for a second time, then I know it's worth it.
