I've been away for the past like 2 weeks. Have I missed any Gura news, or is it just the usual radio silence? I was trying to just wait it out and was fine for a while, but it's starting to get to me again...

I had an SC all typed out, but I just couldn't bring myself to send it. As frustrated as I am with her behavior, I guess I just don't have what it takes to say it to her face...

So, does anyone believe that 2024 is actually going to be a good year for Gura activity?

So she actually gave some sort of vague statement during the collab, huh? I do have to admit that's surprising. Gives me a tiny glimmer of hope, but ultimately I don't really feel much differently than I did before. I'll believe it when I see it.

Not that specifically, but yes, I end up putting important things off for way too long. But when it comes to things where someone is counting on me I'll make more of an effort. I won't just leave people in the dark for months at a time if I know they're wondering what's going on with me. Now if they never contact me then I'll probably not end up talking to them again, but I always respond if someone reaches out to me.

I'm not really sure that there is one. Sending comments and SCs has been tried several times, only ever leads to temporary resolution before going right back to how things were before. Contacting Cover was really pushed for a while and that one guy still spams at the start of most threads, but it doesn't seem to have done anything. I'm not sure if they ever even replied to people who sent messages. And trying to come up with any sort of organized action always leads to that one guy going on about how it's just a harassment campaign by antis. All the evidence shows there's not really anything that can be done. Just have to hope for something on management or Gura's end, I guess.

I don't expect her to ever actually formally apologize, but some sort of explanation would be nice. Hell, I'd take another "what I can, when I can" at this point. At least it would be something.

Yeah, you've actually got a good point there. I've been feeling better overall, but I've been thinking about stuff like that as well. I'm really hoping that things will actually turn around a bit after the concert, but I'm certainly not going to expect it.

I guess at this point I'm just staying for the ride to see where it goes. And as awful as things have gotten, I still care about her. I don't think I'll ever completely give up on her, but I guess I've got to try to let go a bit and basically become a casual fan who just sees what she's up to every once in a while rather than making her my focus.

So, do you think we'll actually see some of these projects that have apparently been being worked on for forever on her birthday? I want to look forward to it, but I can't help but feel that I'm going to be disappointed again.

Yeah, it's pretty clear this is the most we're ever going to get, occasional acknowledgements and updates amidst long periods of nothing. She's addressed lack of communication and streams in some way, what, 5 or 6 times so far? Things get better for a little while and then go back to how they were. I don't think the 7th time will go any differently.
