I believe the oily part is called clarified butter. Alternatively, you can also use ghee which is just basically frozen clarified butter, but I've found I prefer my method over it, plus its more expensive. I would also recommend using either peanut or coconut oil for popping as they both give the popcorn a good tasting base flavor.
