On the field level advantageous positions would be taken to deny them to the enemy. On the theater level, for those threatened directly, population centers will be fortified and the outskirts evacuated, with anything that isn't nailed down burned or destroyed. Elimination of key commanders would also be pursued, since it weakens the rrat waves and could halt any schizo advance.
