They don't even do anything with the 3D.
Allegedly they always remake the models from scratch which is fucking stupid but it's Game Freak so I believe it.
Honestly, DP looks fine. It's going for the style of the original while using 3D graphics.
Retards on /v/ complain that it doesn't look like concept art so they might be even dumber than Game Freak

They still didn't beat RB/GSC numbers.
HGSS is excellent but it sold like 3m less than BW and was outperformed by fucking Go Evee.
The games they put a shitload of effort in, didn't really sell well and the halfassed games/remakes outsold those.

BW2 and Ultra SuMo didn't break 10m sales
I can understand why though, it released way too early and it didn't generate a lot of hype.
Hype plays a huge role, SwSh is the third best selling Pokemon game just because it was the first "proper" mainline game on a console and that game is peak soulless
