That's 80K CAD There was a nice little newly renovated house nearby on sale for 120K just a few short years ago. If I had the money and stable position I do now I would've jumped all over that and probably could even be a home owner able to sustain living all on his own. But life's a lot of what ifs and what could'ves... Now housing prices are slowly growing faster than the number in my bank account is. I should look again soon though, I might find something similar sometime again.

Christmas is such a pain in the ass. I shouldn't feel forced to buy gifts for my mom, dad, brother, and half sister. I spent over 1000 bucks on a single gift for each with my siblings only getting a 100$ gift card each.
Can't we just use Christmas as another reason to get together with some family and eat like Thanksgiving but with a different theme? It'd be cheaper, buy gifts for the kids only.
