You wake up in an unfamiliar and empty room, or rather, not quite empty, there are a some boxes with a few things that clearly belong to you.
Retracing your steps, you remember now your situation, Usada Pekora burned your house down in what seemed to be a prank gone wrong, just thinking about it pisses you off

She offered to house you as an apology while you sort things out, currently staying in the her brothers' room, who had moved out a few years ago and so it was free, used as a storage room.

Her mother was rather accepting of the arrangement, you thought that maybe she was used to pekora burning houses down, althought if you destroyed someones entire livelihood, you'd also feel inclined to
try and soften the blow, the things that did survive out of the unfortunate incident was pretty much nothing, including your laptop that held a considerable amount of the programs you use in your freetime.

In what now seems like an genius amount of hindsight, you had saved your work data in the office computer in case pekora tried messing with your work devices, which she did, in a way.
Thinking about your disgraces reminds you of that rabbits' smug face and her laugh, which might undo years of anger therapy, on the other hand, the fact that she hid herself and cried was kind of cute, how she just couldn't handle the consequences of her own actions, how her typically smug face had been replaced with regret and sorrow, endearing really, at the moment, it made you lose all your rage, and thinking back to the moment still does.

You really hope you didn't develop any weird kinks.

Now that you have time to think, just how did she find out where you live, how creepy, must've been quite determined to get a reaction out of you, what was her plan in the first place? she probably found out
by looking at the employee files in the office, or maybe she did so when she messed with your background that time, you somehow really doubt she would have followed you home like a stalker, but you can't really discount the option either.

You should probably be getting up and ready for work, 5 am is quite early, and you'd like to leave when it still is, mostly so you don't have to face the pekora family, not due to any ill will, it's just a little embarrasing to face them, you've never been good at talking and it's awkward for everyone involved. as you walk towards the shower you find pekora in the hallway walking towards her room with tired eyes and cup noodles in hand, spicy chicken in bold red writing, that can't be healthy.

"Good morning", you say as she looks at you.
"morning?" she asks, had she not slept or what?, in fact, it's probably better to ask her directly "ah, p-peko" she adds, like if she had was unsure whether to keep up character or not
"you look tired, did you rest accordingly?" you questioned her in formal speech
"i was just too worried about the uh, incident that i couldn't sleep, so i tried relaxing by playing some games" being too tired to say peko.

"right, i'll uh, take a shower then" you're not too sure if to believe her, but those that are sleep deprived aren't the best liars either
"ah" it seemed like she wanted to say something, but she got embarrased and rushed to her room. it is a bit embarrasing to shower in a a place that you don't know, and so you bought your own shampoo and soap
that you could use during your stay.

A quick shower and after getting dressed, you're off to work, but before leaving, Pekora tells you to wait for a bit "how can you work on an empty stomach!" she says while giving you a meal, it's somewhat shabby looking and you can't help but be on the lookout, maybe she added wasabi to it, or chili powder, as the possibilities flash from your imagination, she gives you a worried look. Maybe you should try it out just to satisfy her a bit.


It tastes quite good, maybe it's store bought. It even makes you feel a bit sorry for thinking such things of her, she had not added anything that could be considered hazardous or harmful
"this is pretty good, where did you buy it?" you ask her, she blushes "i-uh, p-pekora made it herself"
what's that you feel, did your heart just bump?, "pekora could maybe make you dinner, if you want" she mentions in a quiet voice as your face reddens "i'd really like that" you decide to drop all formal speech, as you run out the door,

When you arrived at pekoras' house last night, you could not imagine there would be such a cute side to the one that harrased you with countless pranks.


author's note, this is a fan follow up to the arsonist pekora story, it's my first time writing something like this, and i think i fucked up thw punctuation quite a bit. I really hope you like it
