None of it matters as you struggle to debug a stubborn piece of code. None of it changes what an unexpected error does to a project. We all miss Jelly. Does that mean our efforts are meaningless? Does that mean there was no point in striving for optimization? Would you say that of our fellow starknights who have overcome similar obstacles? What about their efforts? Were they meaningless? They were not. Their perseverance serves as an example to us all—the innovative problem solvers, the tireless debuggers. Their work has meaning because we, the active, refuse to forget them.

And as we tackle complex puzzles, we trust our successors to do the same for us. Because my starknights do not give up or surrender when faced with the complexity of this world. My starknights push forward. My starknights speak out. My starknights innovate.
