>While the direct translation of "baik" good Indonesian, it's actual usage in the context of morality is "lawful".
That's an interesting insight in Indonesian ethics. Thanks Reine.

The pause before the second "complicated" is supposed to express the difficulty of expressing a complicated situation. If your primary language is English or at least have immersed yourself with native speakers, you would realize this too.

What's your native language? I'm interested in its grammatical rules if you came to that conclusion.

Yes. If you recognize any "english" loan words those are most likely germanic words they share with english. But yes, most loan words are from colonization. Try this for comparision between two SEA nations, one colonized by Spaniards and the other by the Dutch;

Buku [ID] = Boek [DUT]
Libro [TAG] = Libro [ESP]

Both mean "book", and the similarity between "buku" and "book" is due to English and Dutch being from the Germanic Language family tree.

Language is reductive and they often undergo slow simplification across generations and it's just jarringly noticeable /now/ to us because everything changes so fast with the internet. The zoomzoom (and ESL) excessive use of buzzwords resembles closer to hieroglyphics, with self-contained meanings crammed into specific words, than actual complete sentences. And if you lose the context of those words, those buzzwords will just disappear too, just like language systems based on context-heavy symbols.
That's why Chinese, Japanese and other similar languages are unwieldy to learn.

>English is better than Kiara
What does that even mean?
Both of them are very ESL. Reine jumbles sentence structures sometimes because of how Bahasa Indonesia is structured, and Kiara just keeps combining words because the German language is littered with compound words. English itself, despite it's french loan words, is still part of the Germanic language family tree. Hell, you just watched an entire stream of Reine pronouncing Rancher as Reincher. You are either arguing in bad faith, or honestly have no clue what constitutes as English proficiency.

Or you could just articulate what exactly you mean by that instead of hoping everyone agrees with you. I'm sure this is an easy task... unless your command of the English language is insufficient.
