I'm only just old enough to remember a world before smartphones, but not the world that existed before 9/11. I often speak with my older Gen-Xer father about the beforetimes, and hear about things like the very narrow corridor through Soviet-occupied Germany you had to drive through to reach Berlin back when it was partitioned, etc. Between my own faint memories, this direct cultural touchstone running through someone who has personally lived the trend extending back before those memories, AND all of the other first-hand sources and direct records I can find online, it's undeniable that the world has devolved into an unrecognizable, incoherent abomination where nothing is as it properly should be and nothing makes sense, and which is CERTAINLY not suited human habitation.
Ironically? No matter what the direct, proximate cause for Gura's absence is, there is not a shred of doubt in my mind that what I've just described is the distal cause. No matter what rrat anyone here chooses to subscribe to - mental illness, physical illness, lack of motivation, not wanting to stream, hating her audience, only caring about money, or anything else - no matter how sane or fucking retarded anyone might view any particular explanation as being, what ALL of them have in common is that they are ultimately rooted in the modern world itself being, on a fundamental level, broken.
