The early stuff is what sticks with people the most. That's when the "character" is established in people's minds.
Take Ame's ground pound joke, or Ina's crowbar, or Kiara's "bottom left," those things stuck for a long time whether the talents had brought them up recently or not. So yeah, it is kind of just a routine thing after a certain point. Which is fine insofar as just your choice of art, draw whatever you want I guess, although I know that in some cases e.g. incessant bottom left jokes it can get annoying.
