Yes, meeting strangers is a great way to become more socially comfortable. But putting too much value in their opinions is just being a pushover. Even worse with anonymous opinions /here/.

Mio is a sweet girl but flawed. Getting overly defensive like you just reinforces her belief that she can't listen to honeymeads for validation.

This is a great peek into Mio's inner thought process. All the indecision, backseating, confusion.

It's just human or even animal nature to prey on the weak. Mio thinks she can appease these people if she does "enough" somehow, but that only makes them demand more. It's the same way bullying continues until the bullied kid snaps. I'm not surprised Mio was bullied at school.
Mio finally realized and kinda snapped a few days ago, so I'm more hopeful about the future.
