I don't know for sure, but I trust his judgement because he seems to understand well the vtuber gig and has quite his head on straight compared to average in HoloPro.
He is the one who understood early in his branch how important it was to do his networking reps, not neglecting his local fans despite his global success and focus on the domestic audience, keep a sane distance with his fans to avoid any unhealthy parasocial relationship if you check his interactions offstream.
Maybe, he tries to lower his pace after the last hectic year to avoid burnout, because even if the guy managed to stream morning streams everyday for such a long time, you end up running in circles for a while. The advantage is that his content, especially his collabs, feels less stale even if him being evasive and skipping days is indeed fairly frustrating.
