The biggest problem, and that applies to the whole hobby (not only HoloEN) is that Hololive didn’t just inclined this or that girl in isolation

They actually raise their whole floor to an untenable high level.
Twenty one (!) out of their thirty five channels (and adding to that, the main channel) have a Jan to Oct 10k+ median.
10k used to be the threshold for a stream that hit big, back in 2019.
Today? It’s the absolute floor to even be talked about.

The whole rest of vtuber industry is still at the 2019 level with a 5k+ median being a success and only a few superstars beating that, that’s the true size of the industry.
Hololive is just a massively successful outlier
