Why wasn't Holostars invited to the Mario Kart tournament?

I'm kinda oblivious to the JP side of Hololive aside from clips from Botan and Nene and I am confused why Holostars weren't invited.
They've collab with other members before, why not add them to this tourney?
I feel like it would have been a casual way to introduce them to more people and help them grow.

Both C and D are filled with Holos who have around the same amount of Mario Kart skills so they'll be the most competitive. B is a Group of Death for sure but then again it's Mario Kart. A is the only one where it's very clear Okayu is the definitive top of the top.

Group D will be the most competitive, behind Group B. Other anon already listed some of the best of D. I'll be honest, Ina either needs to unleash her true power level or get super lucky to get a chance, especially if lag is going to be a legitimate issue with JP, EN, and ID all playing.
If Ina were in group A or C, with the holos that almost never touch mario kart, she might've had a chance.

How do we think kronii's going to do?

The finals are going to be Okayu, Roboco, Kanata, Aqua, Suisei, Towa, Matsuri, Miko, Watame, Subaru, Marine, and Luna. Anyone saying otherwise is in denial. Pekora should've been put in Group A.

I mean, if we look at Group A alone, Okayu is going to crush that group. She was that impressive and went ham against Subaru during the collabs, both collabs. And then there's the likes of Lamy, Kanata, Ayame, Chloe seems really good also...

A megacollab feels tough on the ID/EN girls, which is why I think an EN only tournament should be more interesting. Mumei will show her true color there.

Don't sleep on Pekora, Ollie, and Koyori. They're also pretty decent. D is still definitely the most competitive one though.

Unless it's still speculation, now we may know how the Mario Kart Tourney is working thanks to Fauna's stream earlier.

From the looks of it, looks like the Zoku Cup could be filled with EN / ID representatives (+Choco) seeing the composition of certain groups. I don't know if it can be pulled, but I hope the Zoku Cup will be just 12 people fucking around so that will make the Red Team C shenanigans pale in comparison.
