the first one is simple, you are commiting to buttons that are not safe, whiffing stuff or getting baited into exposing your hand early, leaving to the big punish your opponent trained for 40 gazillion years.
First things first, forget about fancy stuff. That thing you see on twitter? yeah that's a dream scenario, good to know if you want to blow your opponent's ass but learn a bread and Butter (BnB) and stick to it. It doesnt matter if its suisei's lmh into launcher into hitgrab. Once you feel comfortable, work on harder stuff
why start with easy shit? because now you can identify which moves are giving you trouble.
Is it botan's poi? ok how do you navigate it? if you do it correctly, she's open.
Is it Coco's grab? start jumping or throwing jabs if the string has gaps. Learn where is safe.

If its the second, then you are too scared of your opponent and you are letting them slowly corner you into the dream scenario of a huge combo.
