The metagame is dominated by Michiru v. Uruka fights with Tenma-mains coming in at a distant third.
>Tenma
Tenma's playstyle requires her to land enough hits + take enough damage to activate Macho mode. This makes her inconsistent. She is the underdog and the fans love to cheer when a Tenma-main rises to a tournament's final.
>Uruka
Uruka's playstyle is a mix of high-damage counters and long-range low-damage attacks. This makes Uruka v. Uruka fights extremely boring, as each Uruka waits for the other to make the first move. Most of the online audience just switches to another stream when Uruka v. Uruka is playing. The crowd groans when Uruka v. Uruka is a tournament's final.
>Michiru
Michiru can only compete with Uruka's tight playstyle because of her many glitches and bugs. Phase worked on a Michiru patch but fan hatred has abated him from releasing it. Michiru has caused several "controller controversies" with "readjusted buttons" and "deliberate drift." Michiru-mains end their careers with carpal tunnel syndrome. Recently, a Michiru-main released Yab.zip and was banned from all further Fishman Fighting tournaments.
