Your voice isn't too masculine, but it also isn't light enough that it would fit the illusion of it coming out of your character, since it sounds too mature or weighty. Your 'laid back' demeanour also doesn't give off the impression of you being this alien invader character. Pic related pops up in my head design wise when listening to your voice.

Don't let me discourage you though; I didn't think Roberu or Astel's voices matched them, but I like them so much now it's gotten to the point I couldn't imagine them with anything else.
