I love Rabi Ribi but I disagree about the art, at least on some level.
Maybe newfags don't really care about this or I'm autistic, but ZUN's danmaku patterns are actually beautiful. Modern bullet hells just try to kill the player instead of making beautiful patterns and it upsets me. Touhou is just so uniquely Japanese and evokes some really powerful emotions by combining the atmospheric music + gorgeous danmaku patterns during key moments in a fight. I wish there were games that replicated that. Even fucking Undertale is kind of a joke of a bullet hell, once again the only thing it does is try to kill the player instead of telling a story in the gameplay...even though the entire point of Undertale was trying to tell a story in its gameplay.
