/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

Everyone keeps talking about Ina nepotism hires, but they don't realize the real playas of the game.

I feel no loyalty toward any company and I don't care about numbers. I don't watch NijiEN because I don't find them entertaining. Not that "entertaining" is an objective quality, but I'd rather watch Shiki do her weekly space magic or Lumi play her autism simulators. Maybe Selen is entertaining, and that's what I'm told. I'd believe you but I still ain't fucking watching Apex Legends.

I watch every small corpo/startup vtuber except NijiEN. Sell me on Pomu. Knew her way back she was in Niji but didn't give her a chance.

Takos are cool cats. I've seen their works in the draw thread, /hlgg/, /yah/, /wah/, and /wvt/. They have a disproportionally large amount of artfags, both experts who've been doing art for years, or those who picked up the pen due to Ina. They're also a bit weird, since every time I drop by /wah/ to see what they're doing they're talking about their god-awful fetishes. Both /wvt/ and /yah/ also a high ratio of schizos vs a number of posters. Then again, artfags are a little weird, that's nothing unusual. What I do have a problem though is many antis latch on to Ina and use her as a shield because she's so inoffensive compared to other girls in HoloMyth. But I file that on Asian fetishism and SEAnigs than to the takodachis themselves, so those people don't definitely represent takos as a whole.

general advice and manager larp:

>planning out your stream content is 10000x more important that having an overlay or having whatever follow or sub notifications set up, or even a model to start with
>if you're planning on doing gaming content you're going to need something else to make you stand out, there are too many of those already
>your first streams will suck, just accept it and improve every stream
>make an effort to tangibly improve something ever week, adding a new overlay element, new schedule template, new alerts, new content, something should be visibly better about your stream every week
>stream using a temp account to practice because you might not like your initial character design or want your ultra scuffed streams to be in your VODs
>do your reps for at least 3 weeks to see if you can keep a consistent schedule before dropping any serious cash on this
>get used to talking to no one, too many vtubers rely on chat to feed them topics and things to talk about, you should be leading your chat by the hand on what you want to talk about and be able to handle a completely dead chat and have a one way conversation or lecture on a topic for your stream length
>put a post it note on your monitor of things you want to talk about that stream
>put a post it note of names on your monitor, use those whenever you need a name for a story, do not use your real name, a friends, real name, or your pets real name
>change details in every story you tell as a standard practice to avoid doxxing
>clear your name out of doxx sites, use the pastebin for a reference on how to do that
>check archives for any previous identities you could have to see what comes up if someone does break your opsec
>watch your streams back, at least skipping through to hear how things go, write down note on how you would feel if you were watching this as a viewer

There's nothing wrong with discussing vtubers on a vtuber board, and topics and interests that are related to said vtubers. Why yes I love listening to Takayan because of the song Menhera is God can be referenced to Festival, and yes I enjoy listening to Kankan because they did a collab song with Mori's mixer, AO-san. Of course, Ririsya, Rene, and Hachi are vtubers, so they're definitely on-topic for /vt/. WITH THE POWER OF DEDUCTION and some plausible deniability, Kill la Kill is on-topic because she referenced it on-stream multiple times and even dropped hints that she made those memes in an unknown mongolian basketweaving forum. And yes when some of >us violate some established rule, which we do not deny are completely sensible rules, I will only say that /wvt/ is welcoming refugees and you can say anything you want in that dumpsterfire.
