The "better ask forgiveness than permission" attitude that got Hololive into trouble multiple times until the Capcom strikes and lawsuit soured the relatiob between Cover and game companies.

In some cases, more business oriented companies let the bygones be bygones and restored their relationship with Cover.
In other cases, like it seems to be the case for FromSoftware, it seems they held a grudge.
