If you don't find the concept of hunting, capturing and raising wild beasts to fight in street and nationwide organized tournaments that involves crossing a myriad of natural environments and cozy Japanese towns appealing then idk, even for an introvert I love going on a pokemon adventure every once in a while.

Pokemon is also this perfect world where most of humanities problems don't exist at fucking all and people live happily save for the very very rare war and living god wrecking shit. Even the most powerful organized crimelords and mafia bosses are torn down apart by 10 year olds playing hero.

There's also an emphasis on the friendship of a trainer and pokemon that leads to many of the characters having very few pokemon, only experienced trainers ever have full teams of 6 and more in reserve because it's supposed to show that having a pokemon is like having an actual friend.

Hope that explains it, at least that's how I feel about it.
