It's Megas. Fat guy finds a giant robot in a junkyard that was sent back from the future to stop an alien invasion. But the head/cockpit was trashed so he replaces it with a car with its interior covered in random game controllers and buttons that only he knows how to use. Its a fun series with a ton of references to classic series.
