??? you are both fuckin stupid mate, there's loads of dams in inland australia, but there's no water to retain and dams and reservoirs both evaporate water very quickly. There's enormous politics around water rights and the river systems and farming etc, it has absolutely nothing to do with environmental preservation> Middle eastern cities like Dubai are a bad example since they are closer to the ocean and rely heavily on desalination plants (hint: our major cities already do this) but there's no way outside of trucking water to get that water to inland Australia. You can't sustain a city that way you absolute midwits. There is a reason we are one of the most urbanised countries in the world.
