It volunteer work. aka it's not about the money, you do it for free.
Plus I'm positive the main reason she does it is to get out the house. Anyone who work from home knows that you get a little crazy if don't find a excuse to go out and do something. Ina is probably the only exception I can think of in EN that never goes outside and she live with her family so she getting some human contact anyway.
