If she's got the "my energy/alertness/emotions is directly connected to my winding key" shtick I hope her actual 2d model has the key on her head just slowly but perpetually turning at all times. If she gets angery, scared or excited it turns faster, if she is sad or upset it slows down.
She could even just have it stop when she needs to step away from the desk to use the bathroom or something, it'll actually fit-in with the models abruptly going still too.
