It's not by choice, it's by Aniamtediff's deisgn. not going to bother converting shit outputs.
AnimateDiff only has FILM as an interpolation toggle and it connects with deforum's extension to use it automatically.
The better way would be to just output the pngs and i2i them anyway, then manually using rife/film but I was just testing it out.
