Alright let's get the official list of possible people that the new member could be out of the way.

Nina (Reincarnated): Foxes are canines, she "died" in Nijisanji and would be reincarnating when she reappears. Also would be a fun yin yang since she'd go from heavenly fox to hell hound.
Mysta (Reincarnated): Canonically a doberman, which double as a common police dog (K9). Always referred to his graduation as his death, and comes with the added context of his reappearance being a reincarnation.
Mariah Carey (Reincarnated): Wouldn't fit with anything so far, but doesn't have to. She'd be a new design from the ground up and this teaser could have and would have been made to fit her new theme if it's her.
Sinder: Hell hound. Lore is shaky as to whether she'd fit the criteria of being either undead, reincarnated, or resurrected, but she remains a canid who comes from hell which is commonly associated with the afterlife.
Spite: Basically Sinder, but she's a cerberus instead of a hellhound. Comes with all the same things pointing to and away from her.
Layna: Fits undead pretty well with being a vampire. Has 2 dogs that are a big part of her life and included in emotes on her channel. Supposedly talking about big opportunities that await her in the states.
Nyan, Vei, or Silver: Fits the coming back from the dead imagery since they'd be alive once more in the VShojoverse
Buffpup: Is a werewolf. Debuted a V3 literally today. Said debut came with a lore video that involved something close to dying, being corrupted, and coming back with death imagery on her design
Fefe: God please no. But is on a temp hiatus, is claiming to be dead because of it, and will seemingly return with a new or updated design
Bradley: Aethel is technically undead. Bradley is technically a dog. Simple as.
Bao: Wants to fuck dogs.
Snuffy: Also wants to fuck dogs, but design includes death imagery and a scythe
Kenneth Walker III of the Seattle Seahawks: Wears #9 on his jersey. Nicknamed K9. VShojo lacks a good RB
None of the above: We're all barking up the wrong fucking tree and none of these are remotely close.
Geega and Haruka: Literally what Geega leaked on stream I don't know why I made this list.
