It's intentional in a "this game really wasn't built for recreating vtuber designs but I'm trying my best anyway" sense. There are plenty of hard limitations like the impossibility to make eyes too big or nose/mouth too small, but I still try to get them too look at least somewhat similar to the originals (I think Numi and Miyu turned out especially well in that regard). Another thing is that all the custom wrestlers I make are based on male templates (female templates look even worse, believe it or not). It's kind of a staple of various /vt/ chuuba wrestling shows, and at the end of the day it's also funny. You'll get used to it. Probably.
