Just finished wife's gameplay on IB, and i can't put into words how disappointed I am lol. In part because of the game and on the other because wife basically speedrun it.

The original game will always be better in my opinion, i feel like it was harder and a little more longer? The big room with all the lady-in-red paintings and headless statues was way harder and more fun in the original, where all of them would chase you instead of just one random new painting lady. They changed Gary's creepy doll room too, i thought it was quite empty. And the Toybox world had a fucking map???? when the whole deal of rpg games and THIS map is to walk around a lot of explore. The fun of it was to choose a random path and see new weird things, to notice the patterns on the floor and realize that you had to do a puzzle in there. But to give the whole place a map from the begin just killed all the fun. Also not a big fan of the character portraits...looks like they were draw on ms paint.

Now on wife's part, maybe it was because he was in pain at some point but i feel like he didn't really pay attention to the game and joked around way more than he would normally. He barely checked the rooms, missed a lot of stuff and just got two bad endings and called it a day. I guess it sucks to see one my favorite games be played like this...at least try to get the god damn true ending. I noticed he didn't get Gary at all when he gave him a chuuni voice kek
