Sorry didn't respond, I got distracted by other things.
I don't have a silver coin and I'm pretty sure the medal is made of some inexpensive alloy it is somewhat heavy if that tells you anything, I don't know enough about metals to say for certain. so making such a test is meaningless. This one is not an investment item, its a memento item my mother gave to me as a reminder of the time she took me on a trip to the lapland goldfields almost two decades ago.
I posted about it mostly because its the closest i have to a coin, and its the most gold I know I own that isn't jewellery. I could have a gram somewhere in my old rock collection, I have no clue where I have put that thing.
