Otoges and all that kind of content CAN be fun and she could even build a dedicated fanbase but she's a terrible streamer. Maybe whoring herself can keep her alive but she truly is boring as fuck.
The same applies to Aia, she's a terrible streamer to watch.
Both don't feel like forced to stream but more like it's something they have to do. You can tell it's not a chore to them but I'm pretty sure that if given a chance they rather would do something else.
Some people are natural streamers, some work hard and make it work at the end but some are just straight up terrible.

But if being bad at streaming is one thing I think there's nothing worse than being a mediocre streamer because people at least remember the bad ones and you can call their faults easily. When you are mediocre you are just a literal no one in a sea of vtubers and that's where Maria perfectly fits, I don't think there's a fix that unlike a bad streamer which you can tell where are their faults.
I think Ren needs to get rid of the whole vtuber persona and that's all the push he needs. Sadly that means being done with Niji. He should focus on stuff he actually cares about.
