i obviously don't speak for all ticklefags but if you mean the 'casual/surprise tickling' concept as opposed to the 'strapped down/tied up and it's basically BDSM-lite', I for one prefer it when it's a more playful, casual thing.
Easier to imagine it happening during a normal situation than a particular person/character consenting to being intricately tied up, etc.
