>It’s a bit complicated since on one hand they know their fellow hunters can track them easily so they’ll try to hide their tracks if they wanna avoid detection. On the other hand they also know it’s very hard to evade tracking by fellow salamoim as most can’t stop their body heat and scent from existing. Maybe they consider engaging fellow salamoim (or other predators with similar senses) and those without to be separate things: hiding from humans’s relatively easy for seasoned hunters while hiding from attentive salamoim’s pointless. That would explain why they end up with the flashy Lolita fashion since if you can’t hide you might as well dress properly and face them head-on with decorum!
That reminds of Predator, where Arnold coated his body in cold mud to insulate his heat signature and cover up his smell while hunting the Predator. That a tactic used by real spec-ops apparently. Maybe that'd be useful with Salamoim? Though if you're doing that you're really dedicating yourself to the hunt lol.
