Apex has had a lot of problems over their insistence on forced crossplay and removing tap strafing just further pushes people towards abusing controller aim assist since MKB has less and less advantages. When the game launched it was like 90% MKB players, now predator/masters leaderboards are like 50/50 MKB/Controller. Pushing people towards controller will just make them quit the game if they don't enjoy using a controller. I'm one of those people that doesn't enjoy controller gameplay and would rather just pick up another game over being forced to use a specific input type.
