it installs all the pip requirements, and downloads the repositories that webui usually clones, while your selected model is actually downloading. pretty sure Google has these in a datacenter with a big fat pipe and SSDs, might as well beat up on them!!!

the biggest and only remaining slowdown is actually...extensions, and only on first launch. while I was testing, I had every single extension enabled - it took 98s just to "Load Scripts" during the initial startup, which must've been installing requirements.txt for one of them that just had a laundry list of stupid shit it needed. I'm going to figure out which one it is later and make it optional...the only one I'm sure it ISN'T is the civitai one, because I rewrote it myself and know that it has no requirements.txt, kek

anyways, because of how fuckin slow SD first launch is, the fact that a bunch of shit might still be downloading asynchronously is a non-issue. your checkpoint will always be done downloading before sd ever gets to loading it...
