Idol culture work exactly the same way as market used to work just a few decades ago, you pay for a product and expect certain quality, the consumer have near 100% control over what kind of product he get because unwanted products simply don't sell, the purity shit isn't there because someone enforce it but because that's what sell, if you hate that part of idol culture then your problem isn't idol culture but men, plain and simple. Sadly western people are conditioned to eat shit and be thankful for having the opportunity to consume it, because their market is owned by few corporations that agreed to produce only shit so they don't really have a choice, now you guys think this is normal and that's really sad.
