Look at the retro tab on Twitch. They often play retro inspired games as well like Dusk, the new TMNT, and so on. If you've ever checked the tab it ranges from 3k~6k people watching at a time. So you can get a sense of how "big" it is. That's every game from 6th gen and older. From many consoles, arcades, and home computers.

League of Legends has 180k viewers right now. The pool of people that want to watch older games is small at best.
