When I've had to explain what /vt/ is to people who aren't normies but nowhere near as deep as I am is just to think of it as a more edgy animu reddit + more slurs and to pay it no mind, which usually sates them unless they were managing to fake being normal in which case they enthusiastically and autistically join me, mask off.
This doesn't work with twitter users, especially THAT breed of twitter unicorns, 99% of the time proccing rants, and then a block if you bother to reply and point out the giant holes in their argument.
