Also consider vroid studio, a bunch indies start by customizing the base models from Vroid - and I don't mean lots of customization, for a lot it consist of changing colors, maybe customizing hairstyle and puttin some print on the hoodie texture until they can afford something better.
You may try following some youtube tutorials and gear your avatar towards the direction you kinda want, and later get an artist to make a proper Live2d or 3d model that fits your vision better.
