one look at twitter commission posts should be enough to tell you that merely saying you do commissions, especially spritework, has literally no correlation to a person having any idea what they're doing or what they're talking about. pixel art, especially, is a field where your average layman will put utter garbage onto a pedestal just because it tickled their bellyfeel (see: the mountains of epic indie retro pixel games).
