The max settings seem extremely lethal and nobody wants to have their character die to it, and also the party is split on just wanting to leave altogether without facing it, so they compromised and are just going to open it like a piñata.
The poor thing can only move 20 feet and got knocked back against the wall after using all its movement, it hasn’t done anything else and it’s almost dead…
