Also the climate map was made before nuefag existed.

figures. we need to get people who are interested enough in world building to keep this thread alive, but unlike /ybc/, /hfz/ /#/, /nasfagq/, etc. this thread requires a more indepth understanding of all the other threads and their relationship to each other to be successful. it's more complex than the average thread, basically. even if we got everything working, there would be no way to guarantee that our thread would replicate every other thread accurately, which is why we might as well not even try.
someone suggested just putting territories on the map for threads that don't already have land claimed for them, and i agree with this, but nobody wants to defend people who aren't even here, and we might run into problems when new threads are born or die, so here is an interesting idea, if we are creating nations for every thread on 4chan, what about this thread? shouldn't there be a nation that represents the world building thread if this thread exists? if so, what would it look like? how about we make it a nation that essentially exists to create new nations.
this nation should be strong enough militarily that invading it's regions is a bad idea, but weak enough politically that it constantly gets separated into new regions every time it gets big enough to pose a major threat to the rest of the world, maybe it is just really well defended, but has a shit government, maybe make it a sort of confederacy, with a bunch of unrelated groups joining forces to survive the intense cold, breaking apart as soon as the problem that keeps them together no longer exists. idk if the south pole can be claimed, so i'll just say they are at the very bottom of the neutral territory in the coldest areas. attacking them in the winter is a bad idea, basically. they also conquer more of the neutral territory which is constantly changing ownership and thus would be a great target, but as soon as they get out of the claimed regions, politics gets in the way and they split off into new nations. if a thread dies, a nation gets conquered, or a new thread wants to join in, first they have to create lore for the worldbuilding nation to try to conquer a region that is at least close enough to where they want to go for them to be able to get there, and then if they want they can create lore about the politics that leads to the creation of their new nation. this allows for the map to be dynamic enough for people to get the regions they decide they want if they are willing to work for it, while also letting anyone (re)join in if they want.
this way we don't even need to give the threads that aren't participating any land at all, and keep in mind that you don't necessarily need to be from a thread to play their roles (you can claim a region for a different group if you think they would like it, if they don't like how everything is going, say that region got destroyed and that one of the new regions from the world building nation wanted to use their name and likeness, but with a few or maybe even a lot of tweeks to how things work. everything still requires someone who will make a map, unfortunately, but the less intimidating everything looks, the more likely someone will step up and try, right?
tell me how you guys think, or what suggestions you have on it.

Repost of the reasoning for using these boarders for organizations.
And if we have someone who's good at graphic design who can overlay this with the main map in OP.

Proximity:
>Holofags being able to access every other thread easily and being united (yet divided) due to their sheer size
>Nijifags being smaller, but sizable enough to have some overlap with Holos and other fanbases
>Neutral threads like Numbers, NASFAQ, /vsinger/ and FPS being easily accessible to the largest fanbases because of course it's obvious
>then we get the smattering of indies, smaller corpos and fetish threads that are largely on their own but together form a sizable portion of the map because they do have a lot of them

How I view threads:
>generals = territory
>topics = events, diplomacy, etc
>shitposts and bait = conflict, war, rebellion, etc

>hes just posting his own map from last thread that was pointed out to have problems
I am the one that posted >>17141753 and the only purpose was to properly establish proximity in the way the board works, not some random arbitrary lines thrown out of nowhere.

Do you really think that people that post the 300 Kiara/Mori threads deserve territories or that Kiara is that present nad has such a large audience? My answer to that is obviously no.

Btw this is the latest update to the map, this general's zone would be around the hololive area and maybe in a bay or island but I would need to know where the mountains are.

PROPOSAL: territorial boundaries
This is a map that more or less presents the territorial boundaries of the world. These boundaries are not meant reflect hard political lines, just proximity. This is an alternative to >>17138863 with a focus on trying to improve the influence the Neutral and Niji have overall while giving Hololive better boundary presence to everyone else.

Assumptions:
>this is a mercator projection map
>--[stretches northward and southward
>--[equatorial regions are bigger than they appear
>--[polar regions are smaller than they appear
>not every feature of the current map is present, including possible new landmasses

hololive
>occupies the largest landmass
>has the widest climate diversity
>boasts the greatest proximity to all other regions

nijisanji
>occupies the second largest landmass
>has a relatively diverse climate
>has good proximity to other regions

the corpo-indies
>they have two large landmasses to allocate so many of them
>has a less diverse climate that they all have to share and put up with
>has good proximity to other regions

neutral
>it's just a bunch of independent regions like "the corpo-indies"
>occupies a region of very diverse climate
>has great proximity to other regions (that are relevant)

degenelate
>it's neutral but __ BLACKED __

Notice that I didn't include schizo anywhere because that makes no sense. Those are the threads that are meant to be posted everywhere about everyone and anyone because schizos (and shitposters) have no concept of boundaries (or care about them in the first place).
