By October 2019 Miko wasn't a "less than 1k viewer chuba" either , why do you pretend like you know shit too?
And here's another stream from Maimoto during the same month from the same twitter

Pick a better example if you just want to seethe about Miko being a leech for numbers or whatever

His point was that Suisei was the bottom Holo for six or whatever months until she became a real Holo. That said, I'm pretty sure she streamed consistently during her time at INNK. The managerial neglect that caused that might have been a blessing in disguise in that respect.

Suisei is probably one of the clearest cut examples of the power of platform and a brand. You can see the free viewers when she joined INNK in May 2019, then in August a bump from being allowed to show off at a Holo Project Winter collab, then in November Mario Kart Tournament plus joining Hololive, then Holofes 1 in December and that karaoke collab in early January. But the real deal is her 3D debut in March, that was when all Hololive viewers were funneled to her channel. I kind of wonder if going up against Nijifes might have actually helped people check out what Hololive was doing at the same time, Toko (unsurprisingly) and Touya (a bit more surprisingly) were also tweeting about her instead of watching Nijifes.

Of course, all the eyes brought in by the platform would have been for naught had she not the ability to keep the viewers with streams.

>Makes me think the concert is at least as important as the album to her.

Same thing did happen with Suisei earlier. Sure, like Miko with her nigga clip, she had been inclining ever since joining Hololive proper (and already since joining INNK if with a smaller boost), but her 3D debut concert was what turned her into a 10k average streamer.

For "normal" musicians concerts and merch sales make more money than album sales. In a way, albums are just advertisement and excuse for a concert tour. While Suisei probably takes a bigger cut than the average artist due to the DIY nature of Hololive's music production, chances are that the real money is still in the concert and the associated merch.
