It is not really apparent. I am an aspiring novelist myself, and thus not a Hollywood writer. But I do consider myself a writer, even if I detest wokeness. It is why I see the need for pedantry.

Speaking as somebody who has worked in a number of corpos, I disagree. Some execs can micromanage to an absurd degree. I do agree with you that there is a problem with who they hire but, again, the problem is the corpos themselves. And saying AI will replace writers will replace not only Hollywood writers but also the indies - corpos would love the chance to have fiction that could be generated at the touch of a button. It is why my problem is with the corpos.

Yes, its a bollywood movie. Yes, its a pajeet film. But it is a hero's jourmey story, tailor made for its market. Or do only white male movies matter to you - because I can find a more recent example that is not capeshit.
