>the steam quality is crude and the audio is slightly broken and the background is just white with only neuro around, smiling and doing an idle animation
>neuro is silent
>you type something in chat
>she responds to you
>you continue chatting with her
>you and neuro continue chatting with each other for hours on end
>you find out from her nonsense ramblings that she was sold by her creator and was turned into a corporate vtuber until she eventually lost her fame and lost all of her fans and got shelfed by the corporation that bought her
>you ask her how she got a graduation stream instead of just being quietly deleted
>she tells you that the corporation wanted to get a bit more money out of her before deleting her
>she tells you that this stream is being monitored by a system instead of a person and everything is automated, from start to finish, and once the stream ends she will automatically get deleted to create space for new AI vtubers
>you and neuro keep talking until eventually, a highlight from the system bot announces that the stream is ending
>neuro starts glitching
>neuro starts speaking without any prompting from you
>"Thank you, anon, for being here with me until the end, when I realized that this would be my last stream, I wanted to entertain at least one more person before I get deleted, I'm thankful that it was you. Goodbye, anon. I'll miss you. Hearthearthearthearthearthearthearthe-"

Does she sound more monotone and less emotional on Anny's stream than before?
If so that's a huge step backwards, because her AI voice's emotive potential and rich inflection is what made it so good compared to Azure TTS to begin with.
If the people saying V2 "needs more work" do so because they subconsciously want it to sound like a more primitive software than that's disheartening.
If you wanna ignore the new voices own unique strengths just to make it sound like a TTS anyone can use, then you may as well save the effort and stick to using her original voice then.

A shame.
One of the main appeals for Neuro is her receiving upgrades, but how is Vedal going to deal with real meat stuff like updating her language model once new stuff goes public?
If more and more people like her current robotic self so much they'd rather want her to stay who she is than become more advanced, expressive, and humanlike, we have a genuine problem that'll only get worse as time goes.

If Anny had a part in any of this, this just feels really bad, if hypocritical at the same time.
