Nub is probably from the buckle underneath, hidden by the flowers? I would've guessed that they're from the neck strap as well.

Maybe theyre just that, holding her top, kind of like a bra would? Though my brain want's it to wrap around the side of the chest, where we can't see it. Which would be visible in pic related, but isn't. Also Omu's illustrations have the chest straps way higher, pressing against the ribcage basically, so functionally quite different? I haven't thought of it before though.
