I have my definition because that is the proper definition when you're talking about scriptwriting. Your definition makes no sense, by that logic Transformers and Fast and Furious 7 are both melodramas because they seek to make the audience feel excited more than they flesh out the characters. But that's a bullshit retarded definition because it's too broad and doesn't actually mean fucking anything. Character actions are supposed to be dictated by characterization which is dictated by the plotline. You have to focus on the plot to focus on characterization unless you're doing a shitass arthouse thing like something you'd find in Genius Party.

I thought pre-Gods Menu era Stray Kids had the least coherent flow of any mainstream Kpop, the whole stylistic era of sounding like an AI generated version of a 2013 Demi Lovato song should've been left behind long before (current year).
