I don't really like how the EN scene keeps diluting the spirit of vtubing. further and further away from it's Japanese Idol roots.
Mostly because when something gets diluted it eventually gets ruined, without fail. I don't think the EN side of the industry is evolving towards a good place, if you're a fan traditional vtubing that is.

I think that by next year the line between vtubing and regular content creation will be non existent.
Most "vtubers" will be normalfags and tourists who don't like anime or Japanase culture. They bring their normalfag audience in with them. Imagine a thousand Kenjis and their cancerous tone policing fanbase littering the scene.
Lolicon will become an icky subject, lolitubers will get othered and harassed with impunity. Eventually even "teen" looking model will become problematic.
Anything that isn't "thicc" tall dommy tit-cows that trigger zoomers mommy issues will get scorned.
Fleshposting will be the norm.
Kayfabe will be a thing of the past, even more so than it is today.
